donut doughnut wedding eventWe Do Weddings

Here is a picture from a wedding where we made the donuts!

This is what the happy couple said:

"This beautiful donut wedding cake was the talk of the reception. Everyone loved the idea and the delicious donuts. We only had 55 guests, so everyone was able to take a donut or two home and they were thrilled. Just so you know that tiered stand took 12 dozen donuts, 100 donut holes and for the top tier we used one of the very large donuts you make with flowers on top. Anyway, I thought you might like to have this for ideas for customers and others.

Thanks and God Bless!"

National Peanut Butter Day

Creamy or chunky, with chocolate or with jelly, peanut butter has been an American staple for generations. National Peanut Butter Day is observed annually on January 24th.

Did you know DoughBoys has a peanut butter donut?

Come by and ask for our Peanut Butter Log to celebrate this special day!

The early peanut butter made by the Aztecs and Incas around 1000 BC was more of a paste and not nearly as creamy as the peanut butter we know now.

In the United States, National Croissant Day is observed each year on January 30th.  Croissants are a buttery, crescent-shaped rolls that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

The key to a perfect croissant is laminating the dough. Laminating the dough is a process by which butter is folded into the dough creating multiple thin layers of butter and dough. The result is a mouth-watering flaky crust and airy body.

Legend surrounds this pastry, as is often the case with a popular, worldly treat. What is known, is that crescent-shaped breads have been found around the world for ages. One of these was the Kipferl which originated in Austria as far back at the 13th century. This nonlaminated bread is more like a roll.

Get to Know Your Customers Day is observed annually on the third Thursday of each quarter (January, April, July, October). This is a day to reach out to your customers and get to know them better.

Remember when Main Street businesses were locally owned and operated? The owners knew you by name and knew your shopping habits. They typically knew what you wanted to buy, and if they didn’t have it, they were willing to get it in for you. With the advent of the Internet and big box stores, much of the personal attention has gone by the wayside. Get to Know Your Customers Day is a day to turn that around. Make it a point to get to know a little more about your customers and make each of them feel like they are your most important customer of the day.
